 While working for the State of Florida Department of Corrections Louis Davis was caught sleeping on the job several times. He submitted untruthful information on a Dept of Corrections report on 10/19/96, failed to notify them he was also arrested on 11/18/94 for retail theft, falsification of records in that he was arrested on or about 7/6/87 for shoplifting, and on 5/24/88 for auto theft which he was not prosecuted on auto theft for a guilty plea for theft. He was fired from the Dept of Corrections for being caught sleeping on the job and for being a thief and lying about it.

1.) State of Florida Department of Corrections Investigation in Louis Davis making physical contact on January 22, 1996 during a verbal confrontation with a Sgt. Hoyt while on duty. Sgt. Hoyt had made allegations that Louis Davis was sleeping on the job the day before on the 21st.

2.) February 8, 1996 Louis Davis is again caught sleeping on the job twice in one night. He denies being asleep and states that he was out of his patrol car and did not hear his radio. Witness reports from other employees state that Louis Davis was not out of his car.

3.) May 28, 1996 Louis Davis is suspended from work for 3 days for sleeping on the job.

4.) December 26, 1996 Louis Davis is fired from his job with the Dept of Corrections. Louis Davis was arrested for retail theft from the Navy Exchange store on 10/19/96. While working for the State of Florida Department of Corrections and with access to the discounted merchandise available at the Navy Exchange for his Army Reserve duty, he is stealing a car stereo. Louis Davis entered a plea on November 12, 1996 and was adjudicated guilty, ordered to serve 30 days in jail and paid court cost of $115.00. He submitted untruthful information on a Dept of Corrections report on 10/19/96, failed to notify them he was also arrested on 11/18/94 for retail theft, falsification of records in that he was arrested on or about 7/6/87 for shoplifting, and on 5/24/88 for auto theft which he was not prosecuted on auto theft for a guilty plea of theft. He was fired from the Dept of Corrections for being caught sleeping on the job May 24, 1996 and July 9, 1996, falsification of records to the Department of Corrections and for being a thief and lying about it.
